Four generations of Froggatts. One farm.
We have farmed Wade Lane Farm for four generations, since 1923. We started producing cold-pressed rapeseed oil in 2007 after Anthony read about the benefits of cold-pressed rapeseed oil. We pressed and bottled our first batch in the farmhouse kitchen and delivered them to a local farm shop where they quickly sold out.
That was over 20 years ago, and since then our oil has won three two-star and two one-star Great Taste Awards for quality. Featuring on numerous BBC farming and food programmes and gaining Happerley Gold provenance verification have been a great benefit in publicising the family business.

Cold Pressing On Wade Lane Farm
Cold pressing explained
Cold pressing couldn’t be simpler: we gently squeeze the seed in a mechanical press at low temperature — no heat, no chemicals, no refining, nothing added and nothing taken away. That keeps its golden colour, subtle nutty flavour and natural goodness intact, including omega-3 and vitamin E. Once pressed, we settle, filter and bottle it on the farm.
Hand bottled on our farm.
100% British — every bottle hand-filled, labelled and packed on the farm.
A natural oil, perfect for cooking, dressing and drizzling.
100% traceable.
